A Snippet of My Thoughts

....I watch a lone crow strutting around out back, his head bobbing slightly, his feathers wet and matted-looking from the morning rain....he calls loudly every couple of minutes, waiting on his feathered friends to join him from across the way. Suddenly I have a lump in my throat, a tear in my eye, just watching a simple crow.

I am reminded that when we are at our most vulnerable, lonely point in our life, God is with us...He never wanders away.....He is ever near, calling---calling, for us to join Him from across the way.

He Is

He is.
He is the way.
The truth and the life.

He is.
He is the Son of God.
In Him is no darkness.

He is.
He is the greatest power
Of Heaven and earth.
He is a mighty God.

He is.
He is everything good.
He is everything just.
In Him is no evil.

He is.
He is kindness and understanding.
He is strength and love.

He is.
He is there when I need to pray.
He is there when I fall.

He is. Oh yes, He is.........

He's There For Me

I sat upon a lonely hill,
Felt the need to get away.
Sadness filled my heavy heart;
Tears streamed down my face.

I tried to sort out the meaning
Of the despair I felt within.
No answers came to my mind.
No solutions were found right then.

I pondered at the sorrow,
That seemed to fill my days.
Oh, what was wrong with my life?
Was this feeling here to stay?

Then a Voice spoke quietly,
He said, "Here am I.
Follow in my footsteps,
No longer will you cry."

I took His hand he offered,
I walked down lonely hill.
He's been there for me ever since.
I know He always will.

BE WITH ME LORD

Help me through another day Lord.
Life's pathway is sometimes steep.
Guide my steps to walk the straight way,
Your commandments help me keep.
Take my hand if I need comfort,
Let me feel Your presence near.
Keep me close in Your loving arms,
Calm my greatest of fears.
Forgive me when I falter,
Encourage me when I fail.
Let me know You're always beside me,
As I walk life's crooked trail.

Glory of His Grace

I took a long walk through
the woods seeking solace,
peace, a calm spirit.
Too much of the time I seem
to be caught up in my emotions;
my human condition.
Finding a quiet spot near the water,
I laid back on the grass.
The sky was of the perfect
blue hues,
contrasting the greens
of the trees.
A group of noisy
big black crows stared
at me for awhile.
Seeing I was of no concern,
they went about their birdy
business,
Cawing loudly to one another-
Flying off one by one with
loud flaps of their wings.
A butterfly circled over my
face,
Startling me with her presence,
Then landed on my breast,
sitting there gently moving her
wings in a silent greeting.
My self concerns began to fade
As I marveled at the beauty
laid out before me;
And in the Glory of God's grace.

THE BLOOD-STAINED CROSS
(song lyrics)

Oh a hill called Golgatha,
The crowds gathered one day.
While blood spilled from The Savior,
They jeered and mocked His name.

On a hill called Golgatha,
The crowds saw the shame.
The blood-stained cross,
Was the reason He came.

Oh my friend~
His death wasn't in vain,
For many now know
and call on His name.
For He is living~~
Again in me.
And for all who have asked,
In prayer on bended knee.

CHORUS:
Oh, the blood-stained cross,
Is the gift He gave to me.
The blood-stained cross,
The way to eternity.
How He suffered and bled,
I cannot deny~~
Salvation through love,
The reason He died....

A Snippet of My Thoughts

.....we only have this very moment, this one breath; a heartbeat that doesn't promise more to come.....we are all so very fragile and life should not be taken for granted.

Don't Wait Another Day

Have you thought about forever,
What that means and where you'll be?
When the days on earth are over,
Where will you spend eternity?

God gave His Son, our Lord Jesus,
To die on Calvary.
He suffered torment and pain
For sinners like you....and me.

Your sins can be forgiven,
Washed away with His precious blood.
Take now this gift He's given.
Sent from our Father above.

Don't delay and put it off;
We know not what tomorrow brings.
The gates of hell are open,
And yet the angels sing.

Get down on your knees poor soul,
Humble yourself and pray.
Ask Him to come into your heart.
Don't wait another day.

HE LOVES ME

"Jesus loves me this I know."
The children sing this song.
"For the Bible tells me so."
I've known it all along.

How could I forget the love
Of someone so dear?
It was I who strayed away,
But He always stayed right here.

He knows me better than I know myself.
And yet He loves me so.
He's here to answer all my prayers,
Or when I need a place to go.

When I let the world get me down.
When I'm filled with despair,
I know I can talk to Him.
He's always waiting there.....

WHEN HE COMES TO TAKE ME HOME

What will you be doing friend,
When the trumpet sounds on high?
When the Savior suddenly appears,
And glory fills the skies?

Will panic fill your heart and soul?
Will dread make you faint?
Will you know you waited too long,
And now it's much too late?

Or will you open your arms to Him,
And ascend to greet Him in the air?
Will a smile be on your face,
To find Him waiting there?

Will you be going with me?
We'll live forever in paradise.
He'll be coming to take me with
Him soon,
And it could be tonight.

My heart longs for His embrace.
I'll be ready when He comes.
I hope you'll go with me,
When He comes to take me home.
